Slashtalk

Coordination without the meetings — an ambient dock of what your team actually shipped.

Side project2026

What it is

A floating dock that shows your team as a rail of avatars. Click one and you see their recent PRs, live Claude and Codex sessions, and current branch — and when two people start editing files about to collide, both cards flag it. It speaks MCP, so the coding agents get the same team context the humans do.

Problem

Finding out what a team is working on usually costs the team its focus. PMs ping engineers, engineers write standup notes about yesterday, and by the time anyone reads them the work has moved. Slashtalk reads the work itself — PRs in flight, live sessions, files about to collide — so the answer is already on screen and nobody has to be interrupted for it.

My role

Design and PM, and a code contributor via Claude.

Outcome

A side project by the team at Towns, built for the fun of it. We tweeted it, and that was that.
